The founder of the KeelWorks Foundation Thomas Garrod was inspired to create it due to his own personal struggles. As a high school dropout who married early and had seven children before the age of 30, he faced significant challenges in making a living.
He worked various jobs and eventually went back to school, overcoming learning disabilities to earn a bachelor’s degree at 34.
Despite his degree, he faced rejection in the job market due to a lack of experience.
His experiences highlighted the need for a resource to guide individuals facing similar challenges, leading to the creation of KeelWorks.
KeelWorks focuses on providing experience and resume-building assistance to help people achieve new careers.
The founder acknowledges his own fortunate path and aims to help others achieve comfort and contribute meaningfully to society through the foundation.
